Ayla’s Garden Update: July 21, 2017

“Dragon’s Egg” cucumber is producing a lot of fruit every day.

The peppers are finally starting to produce! This variety is “Corno Di Toro Rosso.”

“Corbaci” peppers are about 10 inches long now. They should start turning red soon.

I harvested my second succession of carrots today from an area that was 20×48 inches. This is a mix of “Purple Dragon” and “Pusa Rudhira Red” and they totaled just over 2 pounds. Β I planted a row of beet seeds in their place.

Borage has finally bloomed! I planted the seeds on May 27 so it has been 55 days.

This “moranga” squash is growing quickly!

This truss of “blue gold berry” tomatoes is looking perfect.

“Jaradale” pumpkin is supposed to turn blue eventually.

I harvested my first white acorn squash.

This volunteer squash is producing zucchini in my compost pile.

Young beans. I’ve never grown beans before so I’m not sure what to expect. πŸ™‚
